The Penn National Gaming online gambling plan
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course’ Interactive Gaming Certificate in September 2018. Penn National Gaming soon announced it had signed deals with online gaming suppliers NetEnt and IGT to help launch its PA online casino and online poker sites.
HollywoodCasino.com will run under IGT’s PlayCommand digital gaming platform. It will feature a variety of games from IGT’s PlayCasino game library and deploy IGT’s PlayBingo and PlayPoker online gaming solutions as well. The Meadows did strike a strategic partnership deal with IGT. It could conceivably still eventually apply for a remaining PA online gambling license and jump in the business on its own.

About The Meadows Racetrack and Casino
The Meadows launched as a harness racing facility about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh in 1963. It was the first track to launch parimutuel betting in Western Pennsylvania.
A temporary slots casino opened adjacent to the track in 2007. The old grandstand was soon removed to make room for a permanent casino, which opened on April 15, 2009. The property originally only offered slots. However, management added table games in 2010.
The Meadows Racetrack and Casino now feature more than 3,000 slots, 65 table games, and a 14-table poker room. The harness racing track hosts races all year round. Additionally, the Hyatt Place hotel is minutes away by footbridge or shuttle bus.
Gaming & Leisure Properties previously owned the property. Plus, Pinnacle Entertainment operated the casino. Then, the PGCB approved Penn National Gaming‘s takeover of its gaming license in March 2018.
